Loop Head and Kilkee Cliffs

Loop Head and Kilkee Cliffs

Loop Head
The original plan for today was to go locally to the Cliffs of Moher as I waited to connect with my cousin Marie after her family funeral commitments.

But, on reading my trusty guide books,  they recommended a visit to Loop Head and the Kilkee Cliffs which were both free from monetary impositions and also from tourist buses!
Although I will be going roughly in that direction tomorrow I was glad to have the opportunity to take my time and take in all the scenery that was on offer.
Loop Head is about an hour from Lahinch and provided some beautiful scenery on route...

Once again the drive was spectacular, and I was blessed with beautiful weather.

Stopped on the way back for a few pics

The Kilkee cliffs were promoted in my guide book as being more spectacular than the Cliffs of Moher, and they certainly didn't  disappoint... Wish  I could've got a bit closer to the edge of the cliff but was a bit wary after this sign...

It was a fantastic drive that once again traced the WAW. And once again I  couldn't believe how kind the weather was to me! Loop Head was just beautiful and the roads that hugged the coast were well sign posted with the WAW symbol

Coming back I set my Gaby Garmin for Kilkee and together with the signposts we found the coast road that displayed some fantastic coastal views...  Bewdiful!!!

The next part of the day is related to connecting with my  family, so I might make a new post for that....
